Lots of people when they first quit drinking will say "but i have no passions. drinking sucked up all the available space and time. I don't even know what I 'like' to do any more ..."
Then once you're sober for a while, you begin to fill that time with other interests. It sort of happens naturally. You might find that you're gardening more, or reading more, or watching old films. Or you're learning more, or you've taken up glass blowing. Or pasta making.
And sometimes your new 'interest' and focussed hobby is sobriety itself. You do all the reading, listen to all the audios and the process of sober transformation is great :)
Well, it's true: Learning, growing, and challenging ourselves is quite addictive in its own right.
but what do you do when (a) you don't have any passions, even when sober, or (b) when sobriety IS your passion but later it seems boring and not as exciting as it was when you first started.
In this podcast audio, I talk about how to find passions, how to move from one passion to another, and what to do if your only passion (seems) to be sobriety itself.
