Oh boy. quitting drinking. we know we want to do it. then we forget. we start the day sober and then we lose track of the goal.

we hope we can solve this alone in our heads.

but really, that’d be like trying to learn to read, sitting with a book, for years, when it’s not self-evident, and you're not getting it, and you don't want to let anyone help you learn how to think about things.

your wolfie voice will resist the things that could help you.

Is it possible to ‘know’ what you need to do and then ‘forget’ all in the same day? yes. Can you learn other ways to deal with emotions? yes. but not by sitting alone in your head, hoping to just sort it out.

Can you ‘learn’ new things? of course you can. but not alone in your head. you need training. physio. repetition. support.

love, belle xo
