Sober Podcast 266 - Does It Matter If I'm Sober?

I got this email from Beattie:

"How do you deal with feelings that sobriety won't really matter? I know that is just Wolfie talking, but for some of us who are older, there is this voice that says not only 'drink now', but who cares and what difference does it make? Maybe this is an age-old conundrum and you may think it is a stupid question (I know the root of the answer). I am 64 years of age and no one cares if I am sober, but I know I need to be. It is just so hard now."

In this podcast, I reply to her question, and I talk about the symphony, hiking, and how wolfie makes decisions from the couch while you have a bottle in your hand.

Is it possible that your life wouldn't (even marginally) improve if you're sober? Not possible.

What vistas open up by you removing the booze from your head? You don't know. Being proud of yourself is enough, though, you can do it for that one reason. And for the blueberries (and the bakery tour) also mentioned in this audio.
