In this question and answer audio, I give short answers to longer questions. My replies are quite direct, not a lot of story-telling embellishments. So they're like to hit you square in the head. ready?
1. What role does me being a sober coach help me to maintain my motivation to continue to be sober (and how do we maintain motivation in general).
2. Did I tell my husband when I first quit drinking, and how did I explain it to him as it evolved (and how to deal with your husband if he’s still drinking and you’ve quit; do you go to movies alone, do you go to the archery class alone?).
3. Question from D: "I’ve been trying to get a new day 1 and I can’t get going, what can you recommend." You want a different result. It’s not that there isn’t support available for us, it’s that we don’t want it. Your thought process isn’t working now like it did before. So you do new things now. You’re going to need different things to get you going. You’ve changed. the elevator only goes down. The time to step off is right now
== I also include the longer, unedited version of the podcast, as this was recorded live.
